What to Pack for Travelling

This is what I consider to be essential for any traveler / backpacker. These are elements that I used in my previous trips, and have served me well.

backpack

The first obvious thing for any traveler to decide is whether the use of a backpack or suitcase. During my first solo travel experience in South Asia, Korea and Japan, I traveled with a backpack. For 50 years I bought a backpack Eurohike 55 liters with a rain cover, which is very useful during the monsoon season! The package was first opened, and actually has little to offer in certificated form. So I bought a special case of transit back I put my backpack and really safe from theft, but is protected from the airport conveyor belts. I had heard that the conveyors in airports sometimes erupted clips backpacks if they are not secured properly, and that some airlines do not want to even have backpacks on their airplanes because "they were a threat to security. In fact, I lost the rear of test during my travels, and had to resort to pack my backpack in black garbage bags and tape to prevent the clips to catch the airport transporters. the backpack is comfortable with good padding. However, I realized that my trip was on the block was a little too big. I have read in many different that the smaller sites and lighter than your purse, your trip will be more comfortable. This is so true. it's not just about how to turn on the package is for you to use, but also practical reasons such as travel on trains and subways filled with a giant closet in his back. the backpack was incredibly annoying while traveling in the busy metro, because I do not know if and how was experiencing people - but I'm sure it really was! However, it was great to have a free hand when I had to pay the bills and carry bags and water bottles.

suitcase

On my second trip to Japan, I decided to leave the pack and travel with a suitcase of medium size. I was traveling for three weeks and I plan to move around the country a bit. I was worried about the condition of the wheels of the bag at the end of the trip, but generally prefer the comfort of a nice bag. The case is the use of his arms, but to ease back. I have found many times that my backpack was getting too heavy and bulky for longer rides; a suitcase, meanwhile, makes walking a pleasure. Trying to find your hotel in humidity and a bustling Bangkok with its gigantic backpack is not a pleasant experience. Although climbing stairs is a pain with a suitcase, but with a backpack, is a breeze. This may be important to you as it is better to travel around a Japanese city (and many other cities in Asia) through the subway system, and sometimes have huge stairs to the platforms. The last nail is a case that makes you look more pragmatic and professional; a backpack makes you easily identifiable as a traveler or tourist, and makes it stand out more. If I walked into a beautiful hotel with my backpack, I would not give the same service if traveling with a suitcase. Backpackers I have some bad reputation in some countries like backpackers tend to be younger people are more likely to rude behavior because scamper after finishing college.

backpack

You do not want to take your suitcase or backpack with you on your walks or day tours, so you have a good backpack practice. I took a shoulder bag, as it was smarter than a small backpack. But beware, a shoulder bag can give you some irritating neck and shoulder pain if you pack with large water bottles or memories. In this case, a cute little backpack is better because it transfers the weight evenly over your back and shoulders.

Travel Insurance

I always take out travel insurance that you never know what might happen during your trip. Prevention is always better than cure. Medical treatment abroad can cost thousands if you do not have the proper insurance, so always read the right insurance policy. When I look for a safe always turn to the comparison sites such as moneysupermarket.com. This way you can compare all the different companies that offer insurance and policies.

Skype

Skype is a free service that lets you call anyone in the world (which also has a Skype account) for free. The service is free to use Skype to Skype service, and prices are competitive if you want to call landlines and mobiles. You can use Skype on your iPod Touch, a true Skype phone or your laptop. If you take a laptop abroad, you can even use your web camera for video calls, but if you do not take a laptop, I found that many internet cafes in Asia have Skype installed on their .ventanilla reception equipment tickets for Skype also lets you send instant messages, play games and even transfer files. Overall, Skype is a great device to be use during the trip.

First aid kit

I like taking a mini first aid kit when traveling. The boxes come in beautiful convenient sizes with everything you may need for your trip. Items can include: plasters, antiseptic cream, insect repellent, and several tablets for common diseases books.

clothing

I will not make a big effort to clothing, because I think it's a personal choice and depends on the needs of different people. However, I must say that you should always travel light, and think whether you really need a garment. Sometimes, I fell into the trap of too much packing clothes "just in case". While traveling in Asia, you can always pick up some cheap clothes, so no need to over pack. The minimum that I would have a month long trip is: 3-4 T, two shirts, pants, shorts, two pools, two pairs of socks, trainers / sneakers (I would buy some that seem formal, but are so comfortable as trainers).

travel Clothesline

I take a small washing line in my travels if there is not enough space for drying clothes. If you're packing light, simply wash their clothes more often, and sometimes a washing line for the extra space is needed.

Reservoir stopper Travel

I used this opportunity when I stayed in hostels. In a budget accommodation will not have a sink stopper, making it difficult to shave. The travel plug is recommended if you go to a cheap accommodation. Moreover, even some higher quality hotels have faulty connectors in their bathrooms, so it's usually a good point to make.

Toiletries

As Dandy Walker I have a wide range of toiletries. My toilet bag consists of: razors, moisturizer, sunscreen, nail clippers, tweezers, aftershave lotions (I tend to buy the rights to the airport free), lip balm, deodorant and more!

Mac rain

If you are traveling anywhere that has a monsoon season, when a rain mac is an excellent idea. Monsoon is impressive, and can only take you by surprise and leave you drenched. A little rain mac may crumpled in a very small and can easily carry in your backpack.

Swiss Army Knife

Sometimes I take that in my travels as it has a variety of useful features: a bottle opener, scissors, tweezers, toothpick, screwdriver heads and knives so many different sizes.

Travel Towels

I recommend taking a travel towel. These can be folded into a small incredibly and takes up very little space in your luggage. They also dry faster than ordinary towels.

camera

I really do not know much about cameras, but I certainly know that you need one on your way. It is a way to record the experiences that are not possible otherwise. I just bought a 8 megapixel camera in Bangkok - it served me well.

battery

You need these for your camera, so be sure to bring enough spare parts of their own country, they tend to be cheaper than any foreigner.

mobile phone

A mobile phone is now a necessary gadget in all aspects of life, and is very important when traveling. This is a great device to keep in touch with other travelers, but also a safety device if you misplace or endangered. Remember to take your charger though, or it will become useless after a few days.

Support SIM card

Just in case you lose the first SIM card, you can simply take another Sim, which are usually free.

Backup Speed / Credit Card

I like to have a backup card in case I lost my main card. If I lost my main card, you could just cancel and transfer money from my main account in your backup account via internet banking.

Pens and paper

Sometimes you have to write things like addresses or contacts, and a pen and paper will help. I like traveling with a mini pen and small notebook in my backpack, so it was easy to access. You can still use your mobile phone or iPod Touch for that too.

Travel Adapters

Travel Adapters are required if you want to charge your iPod or mobile phone. Once you know where you are going, you can find what you need converter socket. It will save you having to search around your country. Some tapas are versatile and cover everywhere.

iPod Touch

My iPod Touch has been invaluable in my travels. Not only is it great for watching movies, listening to music and playing while waiting for your flight or train long trips, it also has practical applications. By downloading free via its Wi-Fi capabilities applications, you can turn your iPod Touch into a hotel or inn Finder, currency exchange, a travel guide and more. I also bought one, headphone and microphone special set, and inexpensive to my touch, allowing me where I use Skype Wi-Fi. In fact, you can find a Wi-Fi throughout South Asia: McDonalds, Starbucks, shopping malls, hotels and even airports. However, I realized that surprisingly Wi-Fi is not as easy to find in Korea or Japan, and tends to not be free if offered.

iPad

I do not actually have one, but it just seems to be a big iPod Touch. All the comforts of iPod Touch is a great handheld device that is easy to carry around is lost on that device. But maybe I'm missing something.

City guide

I love reading guidebooks and always carry in my travels. My favorite guides were always DK Eyewitness Travel Guides. I regularly use DK Eyewitness Travel Guides: Thailand, Japan and Rome to name a few. I found incredibly useful, but mostly I liked the emphasis on culture and historical sites. The guides are beautifully illustrated, easy to navigate, and the photos and captions are beautifully presented. In addition, the historical sections are informative, well illustrated and a joy to read. Also recommend gross Guides and Lonely Planet, I've also used in the past.

money belt

The first time I bought to hide my valuables, but then just took my tickets bus / train or small change so it was very useful and I did not have to search my pockets or bags. The silver belt can be used as a simple regular back pack (Fanny Pack if you're American), no valuables and just to the left of the screen instead of inside your clothing. I just used as an extra hand pocket.

I hope my list of essential hiking equipment was informative and helpful.
